Takuya Kuroda

Takuya Kuroda is a Japanese jazz trumpeter and arranger born in Ashiya, Hyogo in 1980. He grew up playing in big bands in the Kobe area, then moved to the United States to study at Berklee College of Music and later at The New School in New York, where he settled in Brooklyn. His music pulls from post-bop, soul-jazz, and hip-hop, sitting somewhere between classic jazz and contemporary R&B.
