Def Leppard

Def Leppard formed in Sheffield, England in the late 1970s and became one of the defining acts of the new wave of British heavy metal before moving toward a more polished, melodic hard rock sound in the 1980s. The band, anchored by vocalist Joe Elliott and a rotating but long-stable lineup, has sold over 100 million records worldwide, including two RIAA diamond-certified albums. They have kept recording and touring for decades, making them one of the longest-running acts in rock.
