Charlie Hunter

Charlie Hunter is an American guitarist and composer born in 1967 who plays custom seven- and eight-string guitars, covering bass lines, chords, and melodies at the same time, by himself. His music sits at the intersection of jazz, funk, and soul, drawing on influences from jazz guitar greats like Joe Pass and Tuck Andress. He came up in the early 1990s and has led a long string of groups and recording projects with constantly shifting lineups.
